PicTours Yearly Student Phone Photo Competition

Celebrating Young Creators Across Ireland and the UK

Each year, PicTours invites secondary school students from across Ireland, Scotland, the North West and Midlands of the UK to take part in our Student Phone Photography Competition. It’s a celebration of creativity, curiosity, and local perspective—using just a phone camera.

🌍 Local Competitions, Big Opportunities

We run separate competitions across multiple regions, giving students the chance to represent their own area:

• Ireland

• Scotland

• North West UK

• Midlands UK

Each region crowns its own winner, and every shortlisted student is recognised and celebrated within their school and local area.

📅 How It Works

• Who Can Enter: Students aged 12 to 18 who are resident in the competition region

• Entries: One photo per person

• Equipment: All photos must be taken on a phone

• How to Enter: The entry form is published on our blog each year, and then shared directly with schools by email. 

• When: No yearly set dates for the competition opening or submission date but will be listed when the entry form is posted. 

• Prizes: Cash prize awarded to the winning student in each region (amount varies annually)

This competition offers students a creative outlet that’s accessible, engaging, and deeply rooted in their own surroundings. With just a phone in hand, students can explore visual storytelling, build confidence, and capture the world from their own perspective.
